Besides the three major assignment, I also include other assignments such as draft papers, reflection, diagnostic assignment, and more that shows I have understood the courses.

 

Diagnostic Assignment

The topic of annotated bibliographies is troublesome for me because I just know it after I went to college. Before that, I just found my own sources and then started writing. These writing is based on the surface information of the sources and does not go deep into the lesson of the sources. Annotated bibliographies are one of the important steps by preparing our writing, “annotated bibliography includes a summary and/or evaluation of each of the sources. Depending on your project or the assignment,”(Purdue OWL). When we are annotated, we can summarize the main thesis and its theme in the source. At the same time, we can use the summary in writing to give a detailed introduction to the reader which will help us in our own writing. After summarizing our sources, we can also evaluate it as likely to be helpful to our assignment or writing. If a source is useful, we can use it in the essay. But if a source is useless, we can discard it before start writing. Rather than waiting until writing and found that the source didn’t help me to build up the argument. For example, an argument essay, a useful, reliable, and objective source will be strong evidence of the argument, and readers are much easier to convince by the evidence. When we annotated sources, we can also learn more information from the sources and get a deep understanding of our topics. This will also help us in the explanation of the argument and writing.
